A character's gear is part of building their appearance and overall narrative. It ensures they have the tools they need to complete the job and fit the role of their archetype and career. There is an endless number of tools, made by a plethora of manufacturers, from obscure to market dominating. The categories below broadly split out gear into clearer distinctions (although there are arguments for overlap).
