Using an owner's workshop manual allows the character to downgrade the difficulty of any checks made to maintain or repair the vehicle or starship for which the manual was written once. Owner's manuals give no bonuses to work on other vehicles for which they are not written. For example, an owner's workshop manual for the YT-1300 grants bonuses when working on a YT-1300, but not when working on a Y-wing. At the Game Master's discretion, a workshop manual can be used on two ships or vehicles from the same company with a high parts commonality, such as CEC YT-series freighters. The rarity of a workshop manual is equal to the rarity of the starship or vehicle for which it was written.[2]
