Using a custom tool kit grants the user for whom it was built a boost die to any skill check made to maintain or repair an item, computer, weapon, vehicle, or starship. A character attempting to use custom tools made for someone else suffers a setback die to the same checks. Custom tools can be customized for another user with extensive, and often expensive, modification.
