
Heroes by Choice ability tree

The people that make up the Republic Defence Coalition come from countless different backgrounds and each one of them brings a unique perspective or history to their service. One thing that unites all RDC personnel is that they serve the Republic completely voluntarily, selflessly pledging their time and putting themselves in harms way for their fellow galactic citizens.

BASE ABILITY[]
Once per session as an incidental, the character may spend 2 Destiny Points to activate Heroes by Choice. Until the end of the encounter, the character may assist another character or NPC as an incidental (instead of a manoeuvre) once per round.
When making the skill check to activate Heroes by Choice, the GM can add a boost or setback die for any situational effects that might cause the test to be more easy or difficult.
UPGRADES[]
Increase Duration[1] OR Effect (as per tree)[1]: The character's assistance adds a success result.
Remove Setback: The character's assistance removes a setback die.
Increase Range: Increase the range at which the character can provide assistance by one range band.
Destiny: Heroes by Choice costs 1 fewer Destiny Point to activate.
Camaraderie: When the character provides assistance, they heal 2 strain for themselves.
