
Unmatched Courage ability tree
The Soldiers of the Rebellion face a terrifying foe: a vast Empire obsessed with their annihilation.

BASE ABILITY[]
Once per game session, as an out of turn incidental, the character may spend 2 Destiny Points to ignore the effects of all Critical Injuries for 2 rounds ([they] still suffer these Critical Injuries, even though [they] ignore their effects). When this effect ends at the end of the second round, [they] immediately suffer the effects of all Critical Injuries [they] are suffering as normal.
UPGRADES[]
Duration: Unmatched Courage lasts for 2 additional rounds per Duration upgrade purchased.
Increase Effect: While Unmatched Courage is active, whenever the character would suffer strain, [they] may suffer that many wounds instead.
Finish the Job: While Unmatched Courage is active, the character adds +2 damage for each Critical Injury [they] are suffering to the first hit of each successful combat check [they] make.
See it Through: While Unmatched Courage is active, the character does not become incapacitated when [their] current wounds exceed [their] wound threshold. [They] still suffer a Critical Injury each time [their] current wounds increase to a value greater than [their] wound threshold.
Survivor: While Unmatched Courage is active, add a boost die per Survivor upgrade purchased to checks to remove the character's Critical Injuries.
Too Tough to Die: When Unmatched Courage ends, the character may immediately make a Hard difficulty Resilience check. If [they] succeed, [they] remove 1 Critical Injury [they] are suffering, plus 1 additional Critical Injury per triumph result [they] spend on the check.
While Forged in Battle A Sourcebook for Soldiers reads "at the end of the third round", the Errata (Page 4) corrects this to "at the end of the second round".
