Base Modifiers: Installing a varpeline crystal changes a lightsaber's base damage to 8 and its critical rating to 3. In addition, the lightsaber gains the Breach 1, Vicious 1, and Sunder item qualities. When spending a triumph result to inflict a Critical Injury, the character may spend an additional triumph result. If they do so, they may automatically inflict the Maimed Critical Injury on their target instead of the Critical Injury they would otherwise have inflicted.
Modification Options: 1 Damage +1 Mod, 2 Item Quality (Vicious +1) Mods.
